NO WAY!!
I couldnt believe my eyes this morning! He and lindsay got up very early to go fishing so of course Hailey and I slept in quite a bit later, but after turning on the coffee I happened to glance outside and stopped dead in my tracks! It is adorable and of course white just like I like. Once again Dave has outdone himself, I am still in awe! Happy Mother's Day to all of the Mothers and the Mother's To Be as well.

More Pictures too....
We finally had a day without rain! It is starting to drive me completely crazy, the constant wet...I keep thinking just 6 more years, but will I be able to stand it? Anyway I thought I would post just a couple of pictures we took while cody was still here. He did make it home safe and sound, but wound up getting very sick and being bed ridden for a number of days. Definitely not the ideal way to end your vacation, but it was a few more days off work! Hopefully both he and Jerren will be able to come home this summer for another visit.

Lindsays baby
Today was Lindsay's ultrasound appointment, according to the measurements the baby is 12 weeks and 4 days which makes a November 4th due date. The baby is adorable of cours, we got to see all it's little parts except for THE parts. She will get another ultrasound at 20 weeks so we will just have to wait and see whether we get a little pink baby or a little blue baby. At least the baby looks healthy and normal, is very active and loves to jump and play.Sunday, April 08, 2007
Happy Easter!
Here is a picture of all the kids (finally!) It's not so easy to get them all in one place and willing to pose for the camera. Luckily they will do just about anything for their grandma! We are all eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Murphy clan for dinner. dave and Cody got a chance to go shooting this morning and now they are manning the BarBQ. It's a mix of sun and cloud today which is OK and a lot better than rain. Hope everyone enjoys their day...

AWWWWW!
Aren't they so cute? And huge!! They are like hairy little guinea pigs, and they squeak kind of like that too. The one good thing about a small litter is I am not in the feeding equation at all. Apparently Kady doesn't need any help in that department with these little fatties! They look like Rylie's :()!

Isabell!
Here are a couple of shots of Isabell and her dad, and Isabell and Kelsey, after getting her eyebrow pierced for her birthday! (ouch) It looked quite painful and bled too, what fun! I have no doubt she'll inherit the "circus freak disease" like the rest of us, and be sporting a tattoo for her next birthday....Although it looks like Patience may beat her to it!

3 Girls, 2 Boys!
Well I must say that five puppies seems a little bit pathetic after suzy's litter of twelve, but I am so very relieved. I am pretty sure that Kady is as well, at least there is enough nipples to go around. I am sure these puppies will be hog-fat in no time! They are very adorable, we have four tri-colored puppies and one sable. The little sable girl has a little brown spot on her chest, we took a picture because it is so unusual. Kady and her pups are doing well, and Kady keeps a constant vigil over them especially making sure that none of the other dogs "look" at her puppies. She doesnt like that. Her over-protective mothering should wear off in about a week, then she will be a little more patient with canine visitation. Until then the other dogs are giving her a wide berth, well all except Holly, who doesnt take a hint very well. She got the idea as Kady was chasing her down the hall though.

The Purple Hat
Some of you have already seen the purple hat, the first non-flat thing lovingly made by grandma, but for others, here it is in all it's purple glory. Of course Hailey is the biggest fan I know of when it comes to purple, so she was the lucky one! Beanies are a big fashion accessory around here, and Hailey loves the new one from grandma, it is awfully cute on her though! She was only to happy to model for the camera, and of course the dogs figured we would want pictures of them as well, so humor me. I went out to take pictures of the puppies, but everybody was sleeping! Not very good photo ops, but they were much easier to photograph while they were standing still! I will try again later when they are a little more active....

He's Back!!

At long last, he is back home where he belongs! Of course we are all just happy that he is home safe and sound, but he's really happy to be back to his favorite things, girlfriend, truck, cell phone, and fast food-in that order! Did I forget anything? Oh yeah, the ability to move around at will (freedom!) We are so happy that he and Jerren have been able to have some time together and as a bonus they sent us these great pictures of the first few days home! Thankyou guys, we love you and miss you and can't wait to see you!!

Everyone had a really good time and all in all it was a huge success! jake got lindsay a ring, (not the wedding kind) which she loves, of course. Thanks to mom we remembered the camera and took some great pictures! Thanks mom!

Tuppies!!
My, how the time just flies! they are getting so big and growing so fast. They are also becoming more work and eating a lot of formula! I have been trying to encourage them in branching out to puppy food, but they are having a difficult time believing that it is food. I guess it's not instant enough gratification. They have mastered drinking their milk out of a pan as opposed to using the bottle, which is good for me because it is less time consuming, however, they apparently drink best when they are immersed in the milk, which makes it messy and hard for everyone to eat at the same time. There are so many reasons why 12 is too many!

Holly Holly Hot Tamale

Napping with her daddy! She is four months already, my how the time just flies! She loves lindsay's dog ford the best. He is the only one who will play with her and thinks she is fun. Lucky for her we have been taking care of ford for lindsay during the week while she works. They have a new house in bellingham with a yard, but it's not fenced yet, so in the interim ford stays here during the week. But thats just fine with holly! Besides whats one more dog, after 10 who even counts anymore.
Apparently not...

Well, it was worth a shot. although I wasn't comfortable going to bed even that first night with them seperated. I was afraid she would pretend she just had six puppies! Who could blame her really. I am still feeding puppies but only four times a day right now, and they all seem to be doing pretty well, so far so good. Two weeks down six to go. This coming week the puppies will be getting wormed and getting their toe nails trimmed for the first time. Good times ahead..Not much else new to report, everyone is well and just busy as usual, and looking forward to getting two days off of school! Yay for the presidents!!

Can this work?

I have decided it's time for suzy and her brood to move to stage 2, the laundry room. She was naturally horrified at first but seems to have come around. I am hoping that she will spend time in each crate feeding the puppies. Ok so maybe I am crazy and hoping for the unrealistic, after all she is used to feeding them in groups...right? well, its worth a shot. She has gone into each crate, however she does favor the one shes in right now. It was worth a try.

Week one, down

Well we have all survived the first week of puppy land. The pups are officially one week old (as of friday) they have had their tails and dew claws done, are doing great with the bottle, can all get out of the box on their own and cry even louder than before. They are all growing and Suzy is doing much better, she seems much happier and spends a lot more time away from them now. Which is probobly why she seems happier. I thought this would be a great time to put them all together for a family shot, hopefully I will be able to tell them apart to put them back in their original groups! Suzy is pretty sure she fits just fine in their little bed, and crams herself in there whether there are any pups in there or not!

Winter Ball 07

Ok, as suggested by cathi, she thought everyone might like to see how beautiful kelsey looked for her winter ball last week. She and her friend Brianna went together with an escort (Otis) I know a little weird, but he kept a good eye on them, and intimidated any possible interested boys. The girls had a blast and got a couple of great pictures. By the way Otis wore his carharts and a tie! I think it was a good idea to break up my puppy posts with a picture of a human puppy!

An Even Dozen!

It's hard to believe still! None of us can believe she had that many, it's crazy! Especially Suzy, she is still exhausted, actually we all are. I have divided the itter into two groups of 6, and they rotate every two hours between being with Suzy and being bottle fed. They are getting the hang of it but we are all going to be very tired by the end of the first two weeks. All together we have seven girls and five boys, a big change from the norm for us. Usually we have tons of boys and only one or two girls. We have two tris, three fawn colored and the rest are sable. They visit the vet on monday to have their tails and dew claws done. He'll also take a look at Suzy to make sure she seems ok. Dave got her some baby vitamins with iron, so we have been poking that down her little gullet along with Pedialyte to help with nutrition and to keep her from getting more drawn looking.Twelve puppies is a lot for a relatively small dog like Suzy, I dont know what she was thinking! We will keep everyone updated with pictures as they grow and change.
