THE ROOM.......

As many (everyone) knows, Kelsey likes her room messy or at least thats how she keeps it. While she was down at her dad's house for Christmas, Dad and I cleaned and gave her room a mini make-over. Which required at least 30 minutes of vacuuming and dusting, filling up 4 bags with assorted garbage and getting a new bed set complete with curtains new throw rug and a table lamp. It had been a long time since Kelsey's room had a thourough gutting, it was definitely time and I knew it would be far less painful for all of us if we did it without her. Luckily when she came home today she was thrilled! She loved everything and was so excited! (phew!!!) Of course there are quite a few bets going as to how long it will stay clean, I have faith that she will keep it up now that it will be so easy. Her next task is to go through the thousands of articles of clothing she owns and decides which ones really deserve the valuable real estate in her dresser and closet.

is what we actually should have named her! She sleeps through everything, even her first visit to see Santa. Lindsay and Jake just picked the best picture of Santa since Madi was sound asleep in all of them. After a quick visit to the Dr. today we found out Madi is weighing in at 8 lbs 6 oz.

Today we took some pictures of Kelsey down by the river since her submission is due at school tomorrow for the yearbook. Nothing like waiting till the last minute! At least it wasn't raining or storming like it is now. We were wondering which is your favorite, we are kind of torn so a tie breaker would be helpful....

OK, I have been feeling a little bad about not posting any pictures of the puppies...I have been so focused on lindsay's puppy! They are awfully cute though, I am getting ready to put my ad on line so I thought I would update at the same time!

6 lbs 13 oz

Definitely a step in the right direction! The home nurse (leslie) came yesterday afternoon and gave her a checkup, and weighed her. All is well and she has gained an ounce a day since her last dr. appt! Lindsay and Maddie spent last night with us and we thought it would be fun to give her a bath, then somehow she found her thumb!

Gotta love 70 MPH winds!

This is where our puppy pen was this morning when we woke up, not exactly where we intended! (don't worry we moved the puppies last nite, anticipating the worst) somehow we still have power for the time being but we will have a lot to clean up as soon as the winds die down. Why do we live here???????

I finally got the pictures off my phone that we took last nite while she was awake!

Madilyn Rae--born November 4,2007

7lbs 2 oz, 19" at 7:30 a.m. Of course she is the most beautiful baby in the world! Apparently she was waiting for her due date so she could be right on time, and once she started she came quickly. Lindsay and Jake checked into the hospital at 4:30 in the morning after her water broke at home at 3:30 in the morning. Lindsay went from being dialated 4 cm to 9 1/2 cm by 6:50, and by 7:30 had little Madilyn pushed out into the world. Everything went well and both mother and baby are fine!

38 weeks and counting!

Here she is, she has definitely grown and popped out! We cant wait till she gets here!

Puppies!!!

Finally! I got pictures taken of the little beasts...which was no small feat. Puppies are'nt particularly cooperative, although they are photogenic when you can get them to hold still. We seperated them into two groups, the boys and the girls, so people can get an idea of which is which. Anyway the ad will start today and hopefully they will all be in new homes soon and we will have a nice long break of one week before Kady's puppies come! Life is good...

After how ever many years Dave and I have wanted a bed we found this one on sunday for the amazing price of 199.00 plus tax, how could we pass it up?

First day of school

A long standing tradition of the first day of school photo. Every couple of years the group gets smaller. Today is Hailey's first day of Jr. High, and Kelsey's first day as a Senior. These early mornings are going to be tough for Hailey(and me). When Kelsey can't give her a ride to school she will have to be outside to catch the bus by 7:10!
