Cody's New Baby...

He has waited a very long time for this! He is super happy and I think he will have a lot of fun with it, I just reminded him to always be safe. I'm sure he will drive slow and never take chances;)

My New Nephew!

This is Nicholas David Murphy, he was born on September 24th at 6:30 am (roughly) he was 6lb and 13 oz and 53 cm (however much that is!) He came 17 days early via a C-section but is healthy, happy and a great nurser! As you can see all his adoring siblings already love him and I am sure they will do an excellent job helping out with him. I think he is going to have a couple of extra "mommies".. We are going to meet him in person and get in line to hold him next weekend, we can't wait! Welcome to the world little Nicholas!

Puppies!

Surprise surprise! I'll bet you are all surprised to see puppies on my blog! Well they aren't our puppies but they are staying the weekend with us while their parents are out of town at a horse show. They are adorable 4 week old chihuahuas, 3 boys and 3 girls. Lets see if I can get their names right: Snoopy, China, Chugger, Bella, Riley and Champ, I think my friend Jen would be impressed! They are awfully cute at this age......

New News..

I was hoping to have the video for proof, but someone (her mother) is not cooperating! Madi is officially crawling, her favorite thing to do is crawl into her room, shut the door and take all the books off the shelf! As soon as I have video to upload you can see for yourself her own "special" way of getting around..Also just heard from Cody, he has landed in VA and after his de-briefing he will be headed back home to AZ. I will update more as I find out more. Oh yeah, Happy Friday!!

Hailey is sad :(

Today Stuart went to live at his new home, which was the plan all along once he was weaned and taught to lead. But we figured it would take a while before someone bought him, so we planned on having him around for a while. A very nice family with three daughters, ages 8, 11, and 13 are the happy and proud new owners. They plan to get a cart and teach him to drive once he is old enough, about a year and a half from now! However, in the mean time he will get a LOT of attention and love. So Hailey is sad that he is gone because she spent a lot of time helping him learn that people can be useful and of course got a little attached...

This is the last thing...

I promise! One more thing I thought you all might like to know, Stuart is happily and painlessly staying in his fenced area! Real progress after the first couple of days. He still stays in his stall at night but is so happy to go out in the morning to see his friend Kyla and have grass and be a horse. Ok thats all for now, I am off to my meeting!

Oops!

Forgot to mention...Cody is scheduled to leave Africa in 6 days, he is anxious to be home and wanted me to tell everyone Hi! for him. He will be up here in Bellingham on November 8th and will stay until the 30th (I believe) so we can celebrate Thanksgiving together and he can meet his newest cousin and he can help celebrate a belated b'day party for his one year old neice! Hope he'll have time to >squeeze< in his friends while he's here ;)

Just in case...

not everyone knows, I have landed another part time job. So in addition to my contract work for Fox, and very sporatic work for Pacific Rim I am now working at Premeir Agendas. Premier is a company that is owned by School Specialty and supplies many many many schools all over the nation with planners and such. It is so far a great place to work, the people are super wonderful and it is the perfect hours (for me) 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.. So this is advance warning that my posts will probobly be even less frequent now with yet another demand (excuse not to post) on my time :)

One more thing...

to add to the list of Stuart's dislikes: the hotwire fence. He learned today several times that it "bites" when you touch it, much to his frustration and disbelief. In time he will not have the desire to test it anymore and be content to stay within it's confines. The other horses all watched in amazement at his perseverance, they would NEVER touch the fence!

Stuart Little

Meet Stuart, he is a little miniature horse. He loves to be scratched, eat grass, play with the cat and be brushed. He's not so crazy about being tied up or getting in trailers or when you leave. The cuteness factor here way outweighs all his dislikes, don't you agree?

First Day of School 2008

Hailey's first day of 8th grade. Believe it or not she was happy to be going back to school since there wasn't anything fun to do at home. She even bounded out of bed when her alarm went off at 6:30 this morning! It takes time to look cute you know....
