Happy Wedding Day!

Although it wasn't a year in the making, it all came together quite nicely. Due mainly to the fact that everyone pulled together and made a fantastic team! Dad, Edith and Cecelia arrived on Wednesday in the evening after picking up Nathan on their way through Seattle. It took them forever because of the horrible traffic they encountered throughout a good portion of Washington. Thursday was Thanksgiving and we had a wonderful turkey dinner and Cathi and the littles were able to join us. Friday morning we got up and started with all the preperations for the wedding, there was a lot to do! It actually worked out well that the wedding was here as it rained pretty much all day and it would have been unpleasant to have to take food, decorations, people, etc somewhere else in the rain. Everyone trickled in throughout the day so we had time to visit and relax before the wedding. Luckily we all worked together and it really went smoothly. The pictures tell the story, it was a small but sweet ceremony, the flowers and the bride were beautiful, the food was delicious and most of all it was wonderful to all be together to share in Dad & Edith's special day. Congratulations Dad & Edith, we love you and are so happy for you!

My friend Ashley

was wondering how her puppy was doing, and how big he was. This prompted me to take some new pictures so everyone could see how much they have grown. Today was beautiful and sunny so I put the puppies in their playpen, they were a little unsure at first but in no time they were running around, investigating and playing with the tired old toys. I think it may be time to invest in some new puppy toys! Theres a really good picture of Waylon (ashley's puppy) in the 4th shot, he is in front and Merlin is next to him. Romeo is the one in the second picture. Romeo and Merlin are in the 3rd picture. Niko is in the 5th picture. Then it is Niko and Jax. Then we have Jax and Wyatt butt to butt. They were happy to see Suzy for a quick snack, which is about to come to a steady decline since they will be 5 weeks old on Monday-how time flies!

Madi's 1st Birthday Party

Was a great time! Everyone had a great time, especially Madi who loved all the attention, and being the center of attention. It was mainly family but a few of Jake and Lindsay's close friends came too. Lindsay rented out a club house for the event which was nice since it was plenty big enough and was easy to clean up afterwards. Here are some of the pictures, by the way she loved all of her presents and has been having a blast playing with them all. By the time we got to the cake portion of the day she was getting tired and was not very messy on her own. Lindsay fixed that by sticking her hand in the frosting and then on Madi's face!

Guess who's walking?

Your right! It's Madi! She took about 7 steps on her birthday then sat down. Yesterday she was walking back and forth between Lindsay & Jake across her room. Silly us for doubting she would ever get around on her own...

Happy Birthday Madi!

Today was Madi's first birthday! Hard to believe she is already one year old, seems like just yesterday I got a phone call from Lindsay saying they were heading to the hospital. Of course I can't imagine life before Madi came along, she is such a sweet, happy baby and has been a source of constant joy for all of us. Tonight we had a family birthday dinner for Madi, we had chicken, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green bean casserole and rolls. Of course for dessert we had cupcakes with plenty of frosting. Since she had a late nap she was still a bit groggy but eventually she came around, I think all the frosting may have helped play a part in that! She loved her presents and tore the paper off in little bits handing them one by one to her mother. Luckily she only had two to open or we would still be waiting! The evening ended with a bath to remove all the frosting especially from her hair, then off to home with cupcakes for tomorrow!

Fall Is Here

It RAINED all day today, at times so unbelievably hard that it was ridiculous. There is standing water every where and it is much colder. Then for just the briefest instant there was a double rainbow behind the house. Apparently winter is not to far behind...
